texte = Hello, OSX BBedit 7.x (yes, I need to upgrade! ;-) A couple of weeks ago, my BBedit app started opening just about every file with messed up returns. This may have started after redoing some partitioning stuff on my laptop?? Not sure what is going on, but when I zap gremlins, the returns render, once again, correctly. However, if I save the file with the proper default style of returns, and reopen, I still have to zap gremlins again. It appears, from clicking on the prefs tab on the file window, that BBedit is recognizing the pages as using "Macintosh" returns.. no matter if I explicitly save the file as "Unix" or not. In other words, In the "Text Files: Saving" preference, I have it set to save with Unix default line breaks. Then, once I've fixed the file by zapping gremlins, I go into the prefs tab for that file and select Unix. All looks good at this point! I save, then close, then reopen, and it's messed up again. idears? Donovan -- Donovan D.
