This WebDNA talk-list message is from 2009
It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 102694
interpreted = N
texte = Though we have already announced the MacTel CICADAgold product, I want to notify the list of a newerinstaller that was uploaded this weekend. This installerincludes a fix for a couple minor bugs, and a core bug whenusing the 'format=' param within [date]: [date format=xxx].It improves OSX Server installing compatibility (notingrecent feedback from Brian Fries), as well as changesthe distribution format a bit (to make it clearer to MacOSusers on how to install the product).** Note **, there will be one more (hopefully final) installeruploaded in the near future that will again change the distributionformat a bit more (again to make it clearer for MacOS userswhen installing WebDNA).Should you download this installer and use it?----The **only** reason for existing 6.2 users to download this installeris if you use the 'format=' param quite a alot. Otherwise,you could wait until after we've finished the "last" ;-)installer (within a couple weeks).Optional (less invasive) install method as apposed to using the WebDNA_install.sh script:If you already have 6.2 installed and only want to fix the format=issue:1.) Quite WebDNA and Apache.2.) Backup your existing /WebCatalogEngine/WebCatalog binary3.) Download and uncompress the .zip file and then the resulting xxxtar.gz file.4.) CD into the directory that is created and Copy (cp) the WebCatalog binary into the WebCatalogEngine/ directory. (make sure perms are whatthey were with the original WebCatalog binary)5.) Restart Apache and WebDNA.----Other Notes:[Date] formating works as-is on all CICADA offerings (beta and gold) when not using the 'format=' convention. (ie: [date %Y])There is no patch number difference for any of these (nowpotentially 3) installers. They all are called the same since wewant our product release to be the final "6.2" CICADA build.Donovan-- Donovan BrookeWebDNA Software Corporationhttp://www.webdna.us**[Square Bracket Utopia]**
