WebDNA Server 8.5.1 for Apple OS X Sierra

WebDNA can be used for free after download. Just install, solve the equation, and try it out! If solving the equation every 30 minutes is a pain.. visit store.webdna.us to order a free Developer Edition License number. This license number enables all the product features for free! The only restriction is very limited concurrent page requests, which makes it unsuitable for a live webserver but is perfectly fine for a developer.

We want to make it free and very easy for everyone to try out our products. Then, once you are sure you like WebDNA as a development tool, visit store.webdna.us to purchase a license. This installer works with all the editions offered by WSC, and the license you choose will unlock those product features automatically. See the requirements section regarding distributions supported.

REQUIREMENTS:
A fresh install of the last version of Sierra with or without WebServer 5 (Apple)

If you get a message that "the software can�t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer", just go to the "System Preferences > Security and Privacy" and chose "Open Anyway"

The installer will take care of the dependencies, directories, permissions etc...

Get WebDNA 8.5.1 server version for Mac Sierra

OS X Sierra SERVER UPGRADE

If you need to upgrade from a previous version of WebDNA server 8 to WebDNA server 8.5.1, just download the executable here, move the current executable
/Library/Server/Web/Data/CGI-Executables/WebCatalogEngine/WebCatalog
to the trash, replace it with the executable you just downloaded and unzipped.

Then, from the terminal, you need to log as root:

sudo -s

enter your password and copy-paste the following lines:

cd /Library/Server/Web/Data/CGI-Executables/WebCatalogEngine/
chown www:www WebCatalog
chmod 555 WebCatalog

Then gracefully restart WebCatalog:

launchctl stop com.WebDNA.WebDNAMonitor

The administration > statistics page should now show that you run WebDNA 8.5.1

OS X Sierra CLIENT UPGRADE

If you need to upgrade from a previous version of WebDNA server 8 to WebDNA server 8.5.1, just download the executable here, move the current executable
/Library/WebServer/CGI-Executables/WebCatalogEngine/WebCatalog
