texte = Hi all, As a new comer to webdna it is good to see such an active list. At present I'm trying to setup v7 on linux and having some mixed results. After contacting Chris, he kindly pointed me to Ken Grome's instructions for setting up v7 on linux with lighttpd, which was excellent and worked a treat on Ubuntu 9.04 desktop , so I decided to install v7 on Ubuntu server 10.04 LTS I ran into the problem of the WebDNA.fcgi looking for "libmysqlclient16". When I contacted Chris he sent me a WebDNA.fcgi version that would work for "libmysqlclient16", but somehow this version also did not work. So I did a "apt-get remove libmysqlclient16- dev" found "libmysqlclient15off" package to download, which I installed with "dpkg -i libmysqlclient15off" then threw in the original WebDNA.fcgi and lighttpd started and everything worked. I'm still not sure why this works and because I don't use mysql at this stage, whether it would have any affect on trying to connect with mysql at a later stage. I also had an issue with the WebDNA Adminstration pages, the Config- Preferences page (AdminPrefs.dna) was not saving any changes so I had to add some changes manually through the "WebCatalog Prefs" file, all other pages were saving and seemed to be ok. What I was trying to do was have WebDNA "Always interpret WebDNA tags on all pages" so that I can name all my pages with .html suffix, so would it be correct to just add the .html extension into the "Allowed template extensions"? and would I also have to add this suffix to the lighttpd config file as well? Thanks John Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
