texte = Hello everybody, and to make things absolutely clear: - WebDNA 7.0 WILL run under Lion. The fasctCGI module is just a plug = that allows apache to "speak" to any FastCGI executable. Since Ruby, = Lasso to name a few need this module too, it will quickly be available = to the very new Lion community. It is not a Lion's matter: WebDNA relies = on Apache, and Apache offers several FastCGI solutions. The first Lion = release does not include one, the procedure to add one will be available = on the internet within days, if not in the next fixed release. We could = possibly provide one too, but this would make a "proprietary" apache = version, and we prefer to keep things open (the same module must be = available to all FastCGI executables). - The message i posted is a quick fix with the purpose to use Snow = Leopard module under Lion. There will be better solutions within days or = weeks. - It is NOT a good idea to run a production server from a very new OS as = Lion. I do not even use it as a desktop OS until first bugs are fixed. = Hopefully, this will be quick. There is already a 10.7.2 coming out = these days, a week only after release. - WebDNA is NOT in beta period: it is perfectly stable under Snow = Leopard and linux.
