texte = I wonder if you can write locally to Postfix - then relay through an SMTP service like SendGrid.com. Reason for this is by chance if you do get crazy its not your IP that's being flagged. And they have an awesome service (stats, API, etc...). The free version gets you 200 emails/day. I've always used my own mail servers, huge fan of Postfix, but these days its becoming easier to let others handle it (much like DNS) as its an ever changing landscape. As a coder I focus more on code vs. server admin etc... Btw - the reason I rec'd using Postfix locally is for speed and reliability. I had a setup where we were sending 20-30k pieces of mail / day. We had issues with doing per send - so we sent to a local copy of Postfix which did all the queing and sending for us. We just hooked that Postfix as a relay to our SMTP server. This allowed us to burst out the mail and let the MTA's do their job.
