I don't know what causes a computer to "run out of inodes" but from what I could gather when I read about it, this condition may be caused by a folder with LOTS of files in it. So maybe look for a folder on the server that has a huge number of files in it, then get rid of that folder, reboot, and see if that helps. Maybe a process (or the OS itself) is writing a whole bunch of files to a folder, and the available inodes are all taken by the files in that folder ... ?
