texte = Hey everybody,I'm experiencing something really strange saving text (inputed from a =textarea) into a database. The textarea uses [input] tags and is saved =to the Db with [url] wrappers. I found this before but it wasn't =something I had to figure out at the moment. Now, I have a client =complaining about having this problem (potentially with only a specific =textarea for a specific record??).Bascially, if I enter:[snip]hello everybody01/30/2012 - I do something here02/01/2012 - I did something else[/snip]this gets saved to the database:[snip]hello everybody01/30/2012 - I do something here02/01/2012 I did somethigg else[/snip]save it again, and I get:[snip]hello everybody01/30/2012 - I do something here02/01/2012 I did somethigg esee[/snip]When I view the actual [url]'ed string that's being saved, its 100% =correct. But what is in the database is all jumbled. You can test it =here...http://medequipsol.kazwebworks.com/admin/sandbox.dnaStrange thing is, I have a database admin tool that writes to it just =fine. I'll try to isolate and recreate that logic, and then include it =in another email. This is a v7 site BTW.here is the full code for this example though:[code][text]var_instant=3D499[/text][showif [nowConfiguring]=3DT]this is what was posted..
this is what is entered into the database.. [replace =db=3D/admin/dbs/client/purchase_orders.db&eqIDdatarq=3D[var_instant]]field=5=3D[url][inputNotes][/url][/replace][/showif]
