The JrCMS is comprised of 2276 files in 453 directories, totaling 35.4MB of files. So it's a little difficult to pick and choose what script to share right now. I've tried to maintain consistency and limit the number of .inc files that are used in the "Stand" (back office area) so any WebDNAer could open a single file and not worry about too many globally loaded scripts. Thank you for offering your comprehensive CMS. I would very much like to see some of the code (I don't know if you're offering that yet.) I've been able to build a couple of applications with the help of some people on this list (mainly Govinda), but I still don't know what half of the programming in WebDNA means. Beginners' primers are sorely needed, if the general public (non-programmers) is going to slide into using WebDNA.

This offering of open sourcing your WebDNA CMS will give people like me the opportunity to look "under the hood" to see what makes this baby tick, and be able to get full-fledged websites and applications off the ground and flying fairly quickly.

I watch all the emails that come through this list server, and I see that the existing WebDNA community is brilliant. But I do feel like I haven't learned the "secret handshake" yet. And I still feel like I'm imposing when I ask for help with the programming of my own code. So I watch and study and learn from the offerings you all toss around. Someday I'll be able to contribute with my experience and programming wisdom. I look forward to that day. :-)

Subject: [WebDNA] Needing Open Source Support

Hi Everyone,

Since 1997 I've been developing my Content Management System.  Originally based off the WebCatalog v3 of StoreBuilder, but then rewritten from scratch starting in 2008.

For the last 12 months I have not been charging customers for use of the CMS, instead I've been charging for our SEO, website support, and marketing.

Right now the CMS runs only on WebDNA 6.0 and 6.2, but I need to convert it to 7.

If I can raise enough money to support my business and I for 5 or 6 months I can do a full conversion, test, and deploy my CMS as Open Source to all of you.

Just as an FYI of who I am: I currently service the jewelry industry, in which, last week at a Las Vegas conference I was recognized as being 5 years ahead in my training and website techniques... because of my CMS.

I created a full website to explain my CMS: http://www.thejuniorcms.com/
This is my Kickstarter: http://www.thejrcms.com/1
This is the Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/thejuniorcms

Assuming success, hopefully some of you guys will start to get phone calls from people who want to use it.

Thank you,
Matt
