texte = Hi Lawrence,There are some developers that have made good use of arrays that I know of.. but I don't personally put it to use that often. In WebDNA (so far at least) the "key's" for the array are a path. This is perhaps more limiting than, say, PHP, where keys can be a string or other value types.. creating more of a map. Of course, the good news is that WebDNA is not based around arrays, like PHP ;-).. we have much more useful tools like formvariables, table, etc.. to store / retrieve / move data. However, one could make use WebDNA arrays.. perhaps especially if the key path was accessible. For example, letssay you had your meals planned out for the entire year ;-), and this info was in a 2 dimensional array called "meal".[text multi=T]mJanuary=1&mFebruary=2&mMarch=3&mApril=4.. etc.. to 12[/text][!] day is simply the number [dd] [/!]My Meal for March 20th is: [meal([mMarch],20)]I haven't personally tested the access speed of an array, but historically, the claim is that it is a faster data access than the other methods of getting to data in WebDNA. So, logically, I would say that it's benefit is in situations where there is a static data set that needs to perform well with access under load.Hope this helps,Donovan>> --- Original message ---> Subject: [WebDNA] [ArrayGet] [ArraySet]> From: Lawrence Banahan
