I was following the thread last night on all the shownext stuff that was being discussed; although that was only relating to formatting and not to the URL length problems I was having, it was helpful. The length of the hyperlink was indeed the problem and I don't know why I didn't pick up on it earlier. So for the benefit of anyone who might make use of this or is still as frustrated as they were last night, I'll post what I came up with. My search results pages now display XXX number of records found matching your search criteria (items X to X shown) at the top, and two buttons side by side at the bottom that say Show Previous Group (X-X) and Show Next Group (X-X). Sure beats a list of 26 hyperlinks. This displays the stuff at the top of the page:[showif [math]([startAt]+([max]-1))[/math]>[numFound]][numFound] item(s) matching your search criteria were found[showif [numFound]>[max]] (items [startAt] to [numFound] shown)[/showif]:[/showif][hideif [math]([startAt]+([max]-1))[/math]>[numFound]][numFound] item(s) matching your search criteria were found[showif [numFound]>[max]] (items [startAt] to [math][startAt]+[max]-1[/math] shown)[/showif]:[/hideif] And this gives me the buttons at the bottom:
[ShowNext method=POST&position=begin&max=1][SearchString][/ShowNext] [ShowNext method=POST&position=end&max=1][SearchString][/ShowNext]
