texte = >Sorry for the seemingly gruff response, but the WebDNA-Talk list >is designed to answer technical questions which are NOT addressed in >the well-designed and very useful documentation that comes with >WebCatalog.I beg to differ! PCS encourages all questions, no matter how simple, because we realize that there is a wide range of experience on this list -- from first-timers to 'old hands'. While we may point you to the manual as part of the answer, it is *not* our policy to require that you have read the entire manual before posting questions. We understand that the manuals are inadequate in certain places, and this is one of the best forums for us to learn where we should improve them. Where we draw the line sometimes is if you ask us to write your site for you, or perhaps when you ask about HTML issues that are better covered elsewhere...but you are welcome to ask anyway and we'll try to gently guide you in the right direction. We don't ever want newbies to feel afraid to ask questions, because often the answers and resulatant discussion leads to interesting and valuable techniques. And if we can answer a simple question *once* on this list and have it broadcast to all listeners, then we won't have to answer the same question 100 times in private email.Grant Hulbert, V.P.
