texte = Thank you to all who have responded to my questions on the WebCatalog listserv. I have a question that I feel needs some additional help and support to clarify. When using FileMaker Pro as a database resource, how do we get WebCatalog to recognize the file without going through the DataBase Helper routine? We want to be able to have WebCatalog update the actual FM Pro file and enable us to use a single database with both WebCatalog and FM PRO. Maybe this is not possible, but it would certainly help bail me out of hot water for not having researched this capability prior to our purchase of WebCatalog. I really like the ease of use of the program but I am wondering now if we have shot ourselves in the foot while using FM Pro as our pricing database. Our FileMaker Pro users need to be able to access the WebCatalog db file and work with it without having to convert back and forth each time. Is there a work around? Does the new Filemaker Pro 4 update respond assist with this problem of fields not being generated when exported or saved? I hope I have made myself clear on this issue. Can someone out there help me out of our dilemma? Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
