Best is a complicated word, it must include all the important features, be the fastest and of course easy to use and ROCK SOLID STABLE. There have been a lot of notes on the list lately about interupted service issues. The notes have been primarily associated with the 2.1 beta. Even though it is beta software, I would like everyone to know those are critical issues in our minds and we take every effort to track down each one of them and to resolve them both permanantly and quickly to provide our customers with the best of all situations, even with beta software. The WebDNA-Talk list has been the place for discussions about anything related to WebCatalog (current shipping versions and betas) as well as eCommerce in general. That has this list handling way too much. This was a mistake on our part. The beta postings and beta discussions should be on a seperate list so that people don't think we are just shoving out unfinished software. After 2.1 is released (which of course is FREE to all current 2.0 customers), we will establish a beta list prior to any new versions. I apologize for any inconvenience the current situation has caused you.We will also be revisiting our entire approach to handling the tracking of situations regarding our software. With this in mind if you have any suggestions for either additions or changes to the list or web site, please send them to info@smithmicro.com. We thank you in advance for helping us to continue to build world class tools so that you can build world class sites!
