texte = Here's another test regarding the date comparison bug I'm investigating. This time I simplified the search as well as the database itself -- in order to help pinpoint the problem. Now the activeCarts.db has only two fields in it, cartID and deleteDate. It looked like this before I did the search:2974902097340 04/04/1998 2974902111366 04/05/1998 2974902122381 04/06/1998 2974902129396 04/07/1998 2974902135411 04/08/1998 2974902143426 04/09/1998 2974902150441 04/10/1998And it looks like this afterwards:2974902122381 04/06/1998 2974902135411 04/08/1998 2974902236457 04/10/1998And here's the WebDNA code that did the *wrong* thing:[search db=activeCarts.db&ledeleteDatedatarq=[date]&deleteDatetype=date] [founditems] [delete db=activeCarts.db&eqcartIDdatarq=[cartID]] [/founditems] [/search]Clearly it should NOT have removed the 04/09 record but it did ... and it *should have* removed the 04/06 and 04/08 records but it did not. This seems to point to a date comparison problem. Why WebCatalog seems to be retrieving the wrong records I have no idea. But this seems like a pretty serious problem ... :(Sincerely, Ken Grome 808-737-6499 WebDNA Solutions mailto:ken@webdna.net http://www.webdna.net Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
