>>Perhaps I am approching this from the wrong view. Since I have no>examples to go by, and no references to this anywhere I can find.>> Your manual has been useless, I know must have been written by a>Tech., because it ranks up with the MSAccess manual, which no average>person can understand. I had to dig into this software and make itI went through the same thing. I'm above average when it comes to learningthings, as I suspect everyone on this list is, but I encountered stumblingblocks that weren't answered in the documentation. With the 3.0 manual, PCS please, work out something with Ken Grome to do aspecial section explaining, in user-friendly terms as he does so well, howit all works. For you Jim, here's what made it finally click for me. Maybe it will helpyou too. As per a talk-list suggestion, I put[formvariables][name] = [value]
[/formvariables]on every page as I develop, as well as on the WebCat sample templates whenI analyzed them. This shows the variables passed along and available on thenew page. Using this simple tip and careful observation, the concept ofpassing variables from page to page finally became clear, and with thatmystery resolved, I've been well on my way.Terry Wilsonterry@rainbowcreek.comTerry Wilsonterryw@rainbowcreek.com
