counters from other site?

texte = I was wondering if anyone knows of a way that I might be able to allow web catalog to do a page hit counter for sites that are not being served from the web catalog machine.For example, a page on a different server somewhere is being served, and on the page, I want a counter, but I want web catalog to be able to track the counter.I guess the classic way it works, is its an link, and the source is a cgi that gets called that counts, and then returns an image that is the current count.I could do this I guess if I knew how to have web catalog return just a graphic - I dont think it can be a 'link' to a graphic, it has to be an actual gif I would guess.But, i would be satisfied if somhow it could be done with just text even, but then how do you get text from web catalog on a normal web page that is loading off a different server?
