WOW! Cha-ching! Sale made!I dropped the first store in, set the users name and password.... all of a sudden I find that user is now a Super-User in the admin sense and has total control over WebCat! Security breach!Ok the guys, Grant especially, were great and we started a work around so my users could only administer their store. Now my eyes were opening to what was and what was not there for us plug and play feature buyers. Fine, now we move on.Next, Oh you want sizes and colors to sell in your store? Go read the manual, study the talk-list, email new helpful friends, contact tech support. The learning curve just got bigger. Ok, now I see what they mean, this WebCat will do a lot with a little study, innovation , and practice. Hey I think I can do this! Heck SuperCard stacks were a breeze for me, Perl modification came pretty easy. I think I'll convert one of my Perl scripts over to run on my Mac and use WebCat. I got inspired studying the manual basics.Fine. I have this sports specific classified ad site and I think I have it all ready to publish over to the Mac and WebCat. But now I find, I can't let the ad users add or modify their ads from a user list because the [append] and [replace] commands have to be protected and authenticated through WebCats admin password scheme and my three weeks worth of work is on the floor.Working through the transformation was not without questions, Grant, again is a true gentleman and I have grown to enjoy dealing with him.... he knows his stuff and transfers his knowledge very well. SO the little bugs I encountered were handled really well.... up to the time the password bomb was dropped.I ended up hiring Grant to finish the project because I spend all day running my ISP and doing support and sale for my customers and trying to de-bug what I thought was to be plug and play in the WebCat arena all the rest of my spare time.Thats what prompted my original response to the video post. I am frustrated that what was explained to be so powerfully simple became a time consuming cyclops, stomping on time I didn't have to start with. But hey, I'll survive and thanks to everyone for their past and future help.
