texte = I guess I should be more specific about what I am trying to do.My site has a database of bibliographic details about journals, a database of the articles which comprise the journals and a database of subscribers to either individual articles or complete journals. Each entry in the subscriber database has a username and password, the entry contains data which gives the subscriber access to only those journals and articles for which they have been granted viewing rights.I had thought that I could use the [authenticate] tag to capture the username and password, which I could then use in a search context to pull up list of those journals and articles for which the subscriber has viewing rights. But when I try to build a template with the [authenticate] tag and a subsequent search context I get the 'Not authorized' error.this is the root of my misunderstanding.Still hoping for enlightenment.RegardsJulian Clayton -----Original Message----- From: PCS Technical Support To: WebDNA-Talk@smithmicro.com Date: 12 February 1999 16:55 Subject: Re: [authenticate] >>Could somebody give me a lead and code on the use of [authenticate].
