texte = More with Encypt...I want to use the templates in the security folder to create a newUsers.db that allowe me to set up security without doing it through the Users.db, which I would like to keep protected. In other words, a modular security database I can use elsewhere or offer as a security mechanism to someone using the site, but who I want isolated from the main site admin.I know the encrypt tags used on these security templates are coded for use with the Users.db. I assumed I would use the encrypt/decrypt tag with a seed value to replace the Users.db encrypt.Your message below seems to indicate the encrypt tag used with the Users.db could be used elsewhere if you didn't need to decrypt. Is that true, or will I have to replace the Users.db encrypt tag with normal encrypt/decrypt with a seed value?I also don't much like using encrypt with a seed value on a template that may get downloaded without processing the WebDNA. If someone got a template they would have my seed value. What is the point of using the encrypt tag if you still have such exposure?I realize I can encrypt the whole template as in appendix D, but this means the whole template is scrambled. Is that my best alternative? Any thoughts...?RH Prouty rhp@BristolCapital.com---------- >From: PCS Technical Support >To: WebDNA-Talk@smithmicro.com >Subject: Re: Encrypt >Date: Tue, Feb 16, 1999, 3:55 PM >> Any WebCatalog can decrypt, given the seed value.
