It keeps the original formatting.

Everyone NOT using the current version should do this every time they post a question to this list -- so the rest of us don't waste our time giving 3.x answers to 2.x questions. Thanks. > >Actually, I did mention it in my origional post, and in this particular case 3.x answeres are welcome, I can run this on a devel server. I really don't think version number is germain to the topic of trying to write and then delete 10,000 mail files on a mac. Thanks for not wasting _any_ time trying to help though. Mentioning the version number in the original post does nothing to insure that the version number gets passed to all replies in the thread. Often the original text gets removed by subsequent editing. And that's just *one* reason for putting the version number in the SUBJECT field ...Another reason is that by failing to provide the version number in the subject, any email filtering will fail when designed to separate current-version messages from outdated-version messages since filters only work on email headers, not on body text. But the third and probably the most important reason is that PCS has asked that messages posted to the talk list regarding the use of earlier versions should have the version number clearly posted in the subject field.================================ Kenneth Grome, WebDNA Consultant 808-737-6499, http://webdna.net ================================------------------------------------------------------------- Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server.
