I'll be watching both over thenext little while to decide which to go with for the long term. I leantoward the unix version because all my other web sites are on a unix box.I noticed that (for my site that passes size/color into the cart page viaforms from item pages):- the Linux version needs an [orderfile] context on the cart page- the Mac version will not work with the [orderfile] context on the cart page- in the Linux version, the cart item remove command doesn't work on theinvoice page, but the remove does show after a page reload- in the Linux version, I need to pay close attention to file/dirpermissions (not a big surprise)- in the Linux version, there doesn't seem to be the option of using Apacheincludes instead of WebCat includesSo it seems that there are some fundamental differences in the way the twoversions deal with cart files. Of course I would prefer that a set of fileswould work on both versions without customization. Any other differences weshould be aware of?Also, is there a unix utility you know of that watches to make sure aprocess is running and fires it up if it's not? I noticed that somethingcrashed WebCat on the Linux box and it took two restarts to get it back up.MySQL does this sort of thing.Albert----------------------------------------Albert Everett - Web International, Inc. 501/372-0393 aeverett@webinternational.net www.webinternational.net-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to
