texte = I am working on a site that will have a rather large database - muchlarger than any I have worked with before. This database will haveabout 200 columns, and thousands of enties. Has anyone ever worked witha database with about 200 columns, and if so, (a) does it work, and (b)is there any performance degredation in either the aforementioneddatabase itself, or in WebCatalog as a whole? In other words, I know that WebCat stores the entire database in memory, and I have plenty to spare. But, does it increase WebCat's search time,to search a database with this many columns? I am not too concernedabout the number of entries into the database; I have heard stories fromothers in this forum stating that they have databases with millions ofentries. But, does anyone have experience with such a widedatabases? Are there any implications, or other concerns I should beaware of?Thanks for the input...Dennis-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to
