Like the ultimatebb I know that [link][/link] is not webcat.Sorry, I'm not familiar with ultimatebb, so any reference you make to that service won't do me any good. And thanks for explaining that you know there's no such context as [link] [/link] in the webdna language, but it's rather confusing to see you using examples like that on the WebDNA-Talk list. Maybe you can avoid using examples like that here, since it just confuses the issue ... :) >Example: User writes something about apple computer and at the end of the article ...Do you ONLY need the link to appear at the very END of the article? Or must the user have the option of placing the link somewhere else innthe article *other than* at the end of the article -- such as in the beginning or middle of the article for example? There's a HUGE difference here, and there is a very simple solution if all you need to do is add a link to the very end of the article. If the link can appear *only* at the absolute end of the article, with no other text following that link, then the simplest way to do this is to add another text field to the form, and name it URLfield for example. Then tell the user to enter www.apple.com in the URLfield. Then you can turn www.apple.com into www.apple.com on the next page simply by putting this code in the next page:[URLfield]Then append this string to the end of the textarea field when you append to the database.================================ Kenneth Grome, WebDNA Consultant 808-737-6499 http://webdna.net ================================------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
