If I am right, it is _your_ template that is killing the server, but you need to do this testing to be sure. Don't access your own pages and see how long the site stays up.HTHJohn Peacock ____________________Reply Separator____________________ Subject: WebCatalog keeps quiting on Solaris, and support isn't suppo Author: (WebCatalog Talk) Date: 4/25/2000 10:58 AMThe ongoing saga of WebCatalog constantly quitting under Solaris continues.Friday and Monday were holidays here in Germany and I sent emails to support once again last Thursday describing the problem and what I have been doing to try and find an answer myself. I hoped that there would be at least one email waiting for me with suggestions this morning.Unfortunately there were no emails from SmithMicro. I guess I have gone past my '4 days allowed' now and will have to start all over again even though this problem as been ongoing since February. Is anyone else out there running WebCatalog on Solaris? Anyone have any ideas? Last week WebCatalog quit a number of times in less than 30 minutes. This was with only a simply page (using [cart]) being executed occasionally to see how long it would take to quit.then late last week I did yet another re-install and configured 4 triggers which would simply execute a command to make sure WebCatalog was still running and log that to a database. This last about 4 hours before quitting. All of this has been reported to support@smithmicro.com And so far no suggestions. The machine is behind a firewall so at this point I have no way of giving them direct access. However, I have not received any suggestions of things to try or look for.-- Dale Therio +49 69 263 19977 office Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Research +49 69 263 11379 fax Jürgen-Ponto-Platz 1 +49 170 934 3610 mobile 60301 Frankfurt, Germany ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
