That's the most practical and efficient way to do it. How are you going to do it any other way? The orders.db stores one set of field data and the lineitems.db stores something completely different. The only thing they need to have in common is an order number. If you try to put all the lineitems in the orders.db, you're going to run into a situation where you run out of enough fields for the large number of lineitems in some orders, or else you're going to have lots of empty fields in MOST of your records simply to accommodate the orders with lots of lineitems in them.
