IIS does the virtual mapping internally, whereas on the Mac aliases are handled by the filesystem. They are likely to be completely different parts of the WebCat code.If you had the time/inclination, you could download a demo version of WebSite from O'Reilly and try to recreate your problems using that instead of IIS. I'd suspect that you would not have the problems, but I am strongly anti-IIS/pro-WebSite.John PeacockBob Minor wrote: > > Actually I have the problem on NT as well and have not received an offical > or unofficial response. > > Robert Minor > Director of Internet Services > ------------------------------------------------------------ > Cybermill Communications > http://www.cybermill.com http://www.merchantmaker.com > > Providing Ecommerce and interactive website development and > hosting services on Macintosh, Windows NT, Unix, and AS/400. > > > From: Jason Tyler > > Reply-To: (WebCatalog Talk) > > Date: Mon, 17 Jul 2000 13:23:21 > > To: (WebCatalog Talk) > > Subject: Re: Status? > > > > Perhaps I'm the only one having this problem, or possibly I missed the > > response on the list. > > ------------------------------------------------------------- > This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: > To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > Web Archive of this list is at: http://search.smithmicro.com/------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
