texte = We have an online orientation program that uses WebCatalog 3.08(?) on a Sun Solaris box. The web pages and databases are working as expected, with one exception. We are getting 5-10 thread debug errors a day on the server. Here are the contents of one of them: 07/31/00 12:18:57 deadlocked /services/web/webcatalog/orient/online/o_users/o_users.db, 1147 times waiting for writeThe url for the orientation program is: http://webcatalog.cc.utah.edu/orient/online/opening_flash.htmlSmith Micro Tech Support recommends that we upgrade to WebCatalog 4.0. We cannot upgrade for a couple of months. My understanding of the problem is that queries to the database are bumping into each other, causing it to deadlock. Could this problem be created if the commands and contexts in the associated .tpl files do not use the cart=[cart] tag? Or is this a known problem of the 3.0 version that is only fixed with an upgrade?Lani Twitchell Multimedia/Web Developer KUED/Media Solutions/University of Utah 801-581-5064 ltwitchell@media.utah.edu------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
