texte = This is my opinion based on my experience. Many opinions are always a good idea.I have built a moderately elaborate site using the TeaRoom example as a starting point but NOT using the storebuilder.The TeaRoom will get you started with some basic searches, an invoice form, and a shopping cart. If you're like me, you will find yourself copy-pasing a lot of code from the TeaRoom.As for building dbs. I find it easiest to use FileMaker Pro (export as .mer) to build the tab delimited text files that WebCatalog feeds on as databases. I like Filemaker because it lets you easily export into a text format that includes the column headers (.mer). You should read about fileformats and hdr. files in the WebCatalog docs.>From my point of view, and based on my limited experience, you should just dig in using the TeaRoom, html WebCat reference, and TalkList as your tools. With WebCatalog, you should always think If I can think it up, it is possible! The best way to learn the code is to just do it!
