So, they click the back button in their browser. And what do they see? Some cryptic error reference about an order being submitted? What are they supposed to do with that?2) Shopper completes purchase, and calls us 2 minutes or 2 hours later, and wants us to add/subtract/delete an item/credit card #/whatever from their acccount. We can simply pull the same cart up from a custom admin template, and rerun their order through with the changes, with a minimum of coding hassles. This works all very smoothly. Based on my experience, I don't see any compelling reason to ever use the purchase command, if one is careful to avoid simultaneous identical carts from being issued to two different shoppers. Is there any overriding reason to use the purchase command? It's been more nuisance than help in my experience...Will Starck Product and Technical Support Staff NovaDerm.com http://www.novaderm.com techs@novaderm.com 800-378-1740From: Bob Minor To: WebCatalog Talk Sent: Tuesday, June 26, 2001 2:02 PM Subject: Re: Cart ID Duplication > On 6/26/01 1:22 PM, Will Starck wrote: > > > We 've abandoned the purchase command for this reason-the error message > > confuses and annoys the heck out of people.
