Meaning before the etc...Then, if the [numfound] was 0 I hide the meta refresh tag. If the results were anything nut 0 then the meta refresh tag reloaded the page in xx seconds. So create a field in the database for list_sent with a known default value - you can even leave it blank and search on that (guess what, you can use this technique to load the field initially too!).So do the search at the top of the page, in the section do a[hideif [numfound]=0] [/hideif]In your search you can also set a max items - or have that value in an include file that you have some other way for the user to set. Then send the message - I would also have that in an include file using an admin interface for the customer - e.g. create a page that has a default number of emails to send at once, the refresh value, and the message. You could even set the date to send the email. You can store this in a database, or if you don't need archive copies, just write out an include with the content in [text] [/text] variables. Then, you could have a trigger that executes this page, loads the include file, checks the date to match today's date, if matches finish execution, if doesn't match, quits then.Or if the user wants to execute the mailing himself, give him a page to copy and paste his message into, on submit it loads the sending page with the meta refresh. When the sending finishes, then reverse the process and reset the list_sent field to 0 and clean up the sent mail folder (if you use the emailer app). The down side of this is that the user must leave the page open in order to complete the sending and clean up.Dale > From: Adam O'Connor > Reply-To: (WebCatalog Talk) > Date: Thu, 16 Aug 2001 21:18:01 > To: (WebCatalog Talk) > Subject: Bulk Email >>>>Any ideas? > > I am trying to control the amount of files that are written into the email > folder at one time.
