texte = well thinking about my response, i found a snag.was writing the replace rountine when i thought...i don't know which values have changed and which values have not.you need to know which values have stayed the same so as you can use these to compare to the fields in the database so that the replace will work.you would most likely need to add a hidden field or some kind of key in the html attached to each value of each row then put some javascript on the client to establish if the value had been changed then, once back on the server you can establish which fields you are able to use to do the comparison and which fields you are using as updated data.,Andrewon 11/9/01 4:35 PM, Terry Nair at taipan@singnet.com.sg wrote:> Good day to all ... > > Objective : > > To extract data from a WCAT database, list it row by row in a table format > where each record has one or more fields (input boxes) with the extracted > data for change.
