texte = Yes Sir!The government here in New Zealand is actually focusing a lot on public transport. We have all the new 'bus only' lanes on the highway and they are painted green so the buses can cruise in at full speed during rush hour.The queues for the people getting onto the new 160mph express bus aren't as long as you would think but there are a few keen people.The Mercedes/BMW/Ferrari/Honda/Toyota collaboration have been working on the project for four and a half years and they are fairly sure that if they can get a bus to do 160mph - 240kph, then a couple of extra people probably won't matter soo much.Load/shmoad - if the cheap computer can finish the test three times quicker than a comparable mac then surely it will have 2/3 more time left over to serve other clients requests. Also taking into consideration that most windows operating systems since NT4.0 have actually been able to multi-task which I think is only just being introduced into Jaguar for the mac. - hell, macs haven't used their graphics cards to do graphics for the last two years now...What I would like to see is someone who has Web Cat hosted on a PS2 running Unix. $199.00 WebServer - now that would rock the party. Any Takers? - also, I would be very interested in anybody who has a server setup with a dedicated database server - SQL Server for instance and its performance in the test - it would need to be re-written obviously to do a similar job with SQL statements but still....
