texte = Kenneth Grome just mentioned this problem, but I can’t find any talk-listarchives newer than June 2002. {sigh}Here’s what we have… WebCatalog: Version 4.5.0 ( just upgraded ) Mail Server: iMail 7.0 Server: Windows 2000 ( Advanced Server )Now for the problem.When using WebCatalog’s Emailer in a template, the email header looks likethis:Received: from hfd-www.netsourcery.com [192.168.254.15] bymail.netsourcery.com (SMTPD32-7.00) id AF9A818008E; Mon, 09 Sep 2002 06:18:18Date: Mon, 09 Sep 2002 06:18:18 -0800to: info@cherokeepharmacy.comfrom: kim@netsourcery.comSubject: Web Site ContactMIME-Version: 1.0Content-Type: text/html;charset=us-asciiMessage-Id: <200209090618412.SM01176@hfd-www.netsourcery.com>X-RCPT-TO:
Status: UX-UIDL: 318584619Notice the difference in the “Received” time and the “Date” time.I am in Tennessee (Eastern Daylight Time) and the server is in California(Pacific Daylight Time), I send the message this morning at 9:18am,therefore…The “Received” setting shows the time as –0700, which is correct.The “Date” settings shows the time as –0800, which is 1 hour wrong.>From what I understand, the “Received” setting is provided by the MailServer and in this case, the “Date” setting is provided by WebCatalog’sEmailer.So, my assumption is that Emailer is not seeing the Daylight savings time.When Kenneth Grome asked about this problem last week, someone mentionedthat it was a bug that had been corrected in the latest version (4.5.0 ?),but according to my testing, the bug still has not been fixed.Now, I don’t understand how Emailer works, but from what I do understand…the server has two clock references.The first is the actual system clock, then the second would be the OS’sinterpretation of that clock, which includes Daylight Savings time.I would like to know where Emailer gathers the time information… is it fromthe system clock of from the OS?Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Are there any Emailer files thatcould be altered in order to solve this problem?-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .To unsubscribe, E-mail to: To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to Web Archive of this list is at: http://search.smithmicro.com/
