texte = Smith Micro Software is pleased to announce the general availability of the WebDNA Intranet Edition, based upon 4.5 release base for all supported platforms. The Intranet Edition includes all the features and functionality of the Commerce Edition, and adds the ability to quickly build Intranet websites that include categories for news, classified ads, career listings, photo albums, business documents, organizational directory, employee handbook, FAQ, and frequently used forms. An event calendar that allows you to create and view upcoming events by day, week, and month will be coming soon as an additional downloadable template at no additional cost. The Intranet Edition can be extended and customized via the administrative interface, allowing the creation of custom categories and templates, along with configurable graphics, colors, and category descriptions. The Intranet Edition will also include an ability to submit content by category, and to create administrative privileges for a content approval group for each category, used for the approval and deployment of submitted content. Members of a given content approval group can approve submitted content for any category associated with that group. In the next release of the Intranet Edition, this content submission and approval capability will be expanded with the integration of a robust content management system to provide full content versioning, submission, and deployment.
