It keeps the original formatting.

If the header is in the DB file you will need to add a tab at the end of each record. The easiest way would be to import in Excel and re-export with the new header field at the end.Though if you we using a .hdr style all you need to do is add the field to the .hdr and flush your DBs.----- Original Message ----- From: Gregg Luhring To: WebDNA Talk Sent: Friday, April 04, 2003 8:46 AM Subject: Database formats > I have 2 questions... > > First of all, why would I want to use a .hdr file instead of keeping all of > the info in the .db file? > > Second, can I mix database types? i.e. some databases are split into .hdr & > .db but I have a new database that I'd just as soon keep the header record > inside the .db file. > > Thanks > -- > Gregg Luhring > 3W Design Group, Inc. * http://www.3wdesign.com/ > Voice: 920-854-9459 ext.108 * Fax: 920-854-5327 > > > ------------------------------------------------------------- > This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: > To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > Web Archive of this list is at: http://webdna.smithmicro.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
