I figured there are never more than a handful of tables in any given page, so it was a good way to insert a small number of cr's into the output. The delimiters stripped are: tab, soft return, mac return, unix return. Some of the global stock includes (like MultiGroupChecker, etc) had mac line terminators even on the unix distribution, as well as some of our migrated templates from OS9.This method was also developed in the webcat 3 days before grep was supported. I guess it's time to revisit this code (I read Rob's post with the grep code RIGHT after I posted)...Thanks,Dale >It looks like the listwords method is stripping ALL line breaks, and >inserting on before each >- brian > >On Thursday, June 12, 2003, at 01:39 PM, Alain Russell wrote: > >>perhaps Dale codes tables like: >> >> > width= >> cellpadding= >> >>? >> >> >>----- Original Message ----- >>From: Rob Marquardt >>To: WebDNA Talk >>Sent: Friday, June 13, 2003 8:28 AM >>Subject: Re: removing programming logic white space >> >>>on 6/12/2003 2:51 pm, Alain Russell at alain.russell@blackpepper.co.nz so >>>noted... >>> >>>>So it does not strip the spaces from >guessing. >>>> >>>>>Without the [showif], the time for Listwords is 336 (what's it there >>for?) >>> >>>With delimiters of %09%0A%0C%0D, listwords had *better* not be stripping >>>spaces! : ) >>> >>> >>>Rob Marquardt >>>Designer/Resident Wirehead >>>Toast Design ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
