texte = It happend to us several times too - remember to flush databases before you shutdown/restart. You could make a trigger that flushes databases once a hour (or more). Then you can limit the amount of data that will be lost during server breakdown. I'm not an experts but i would think as long as the data only exists in the ram - it is at risk of being lost. We lost data (whole day of work/transactions) on account of a power failure etc. So now we run with at MS SQL SERVER 2000 and since we changes system never lost any data (Wuuuhuuu)... AND we have a REAL relationaldatabasesystem. Hard to live with out it... I have had this happened to me on a few occasions: The power would go out beyond the capacity of our power backups so I would initiate a shutdown of all my servers. When I power up the Website Server the data within the db's prior to shutdown reverts back to an older version. It seems like the db's are not being written to disk or periodically are being written to disk. Should I be committing my databases every time I do an [append]?
