texte = It happend to us several times too - remember to flush databases beforeyou shutdown/restart. You could make a trigger that flushes databasesonce a hour (or more). Then you can limit the amount of data that willbe lost during server breakdown.I'm not an experts but i would think as long as the data only exists inthe ram - it is at risk of being lost. We lost data (whole day ofwork/transactions) on account of a power failure etc. So now we run withat MS SQL SERVER 2000 and since we changes system never lost any data(Wuuuhuuu)... AND we have a REAL relationaldatabasesystem. Hard to livewith out it...Kind regardsMorten-----Original Message-----From: Vincent Medina [mailto:vmedina@apcn.net]Sent: 7. november 2003 19:01To: WebDNA TalkSubject: db not being written to diskWC Version is Windows EXE version 4.0.2 running on Deerfield Website3.1.I have had this happened to me on a few occasions:The power would go out beyond the capacity of our power backups so Iwould initiate a shutdown of all my servers. It seems like the db's are not being written to disk orperiodically are being written to disk.
