texte = An expansion to Ken's guidelines, because we were talking about carriage returns... using [input] in html form fields (and javascripts, and any html tag, such as alt="[something]") as he suggested protects against a value that might contain a single or double QUOTE MARK (depending on which you use in your html). Displaying a quote mark directly will close off the value prematurely. Like so: If [something] were size "D" battery, then it would resolve to: and the extra quotes will cause only size(space) to display.
