It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 56937
interpreted = N
texte = Thanks Rob, That's the premise that I've always gone on regarding [input]. However, I like to add on my blank forms because now the field named "name" will have an empty value if not filled in: i.e., name= Otherwise, it would be: name=[name] It makes it easier for me to code with each value having an empty value instead of the variable name. Also keeps those pesky "[name]" values out of my databases (that I would otherwise need to code [showif [url][name][/url]!] everywhere or add something to the top of each page that checks for variable names and converts them to empty values. So cool, I'll just keep on doin' what I've been a doin'. :) GK At 02:21 PM 3/17/2004, you wrote: >It's not that having [input][/input] in there operating on nothing will >cause a problem, there's just no point for it to be there. ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
