I do use an IP check extensively on my sites to show variables and such, and I guess I'm too absorbed in the current cookie authentication scheme I'm building to see that! I'll just stick with the static IP thing to give me what I need; I'm all alone here, so there's no need, really, to authenticate first; just perhaps pull the IP from my users db which I control via authentication, just in case... We used that a long time ago and it worked very very well. Since then we simply check a particular IP number listing against our "admin' list and show other option based on the static IP. Much easier if you can do it though the browser modification has the ability to travel across IPs ;-) Is there a way to set a cookie (for myself, to admin various sites) server-wide, not domain-wide? I tried using the IP address where the domain goes, but it didn't take. ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
