WebDNA Internet Language Software Rescued by Dedicated Users

Rather than watch their favorite language fall by the wayside, a group of WebDNA users have purchased the rights to the software and will go head to head with popular languages like PHP.

texte = Lewes, Delaware - August 2008 - WebDNA Software Corporation, an emerging leader in internet technology, today announced its formation to compete with existing internet languages. Motivated by delays in product development, WSC, formed by a group of long-time WebDNA users, has bought all rights of the WebDNA software to assure its continued viability in the marketplace. "WebDNA is an easy to learn language for creating complex dynamic websites, in the same genre as ASP, ColdFusion, Lasso or PHP, using a different approach; but it has not enjoyed widespread use," says company president Christophe Billiottet. "We will change this, and make WebDNA a popular choice for internet developers and web designers." WebDNA has a cult following of maverick web developers who early on embraced its "natural language" style of programming. With only a background of html, one can easily construct original code to create dynamic websites. Ease of use also benefits traditional programmers under time constraints. "I built a web application in WebDNA for a large company. I recently hired an ex-Oracle/Yahoo guy to help with some of the development. We agreed that doing the same work in MySQL/PHP would take a team of 5 people about the same amount of time to duplicate the system," says one WebDNA programmer. Ruby on Rails goes the opposite direction from WebDNA. It tries to template everything in order to shield the programmer from the multiple syntaxes it still needs, just like PHP and everyone else. WebDNA is the only product that virtually eliminates the multiple syntaxes problem. Despite its ease of use, WebDNA is an extremely powerful language able to handle complex e-commerce sites, web applications, intranet office automation, and almost any application with a web browser as user interface. WebDNA needs to be thought of as the final hack on everything emitted from the server, and those hacks can be as sophisticated or interative as any user could ever want or need. It runs on Unix Solaris, FreeBSD, Linux, Windows, and Macintosh OSX. In addition to its natural language programming, WebDNA stands apart from all other technologies in the way the databases are managed: WebDNA's databases are self-contained, offering ultra-fast access using a robust engine, completely eliminating the need to maintain multiple syntaxes: WebDNA uses the same syntax for both instructions and data. It is truly revolutionary due to its simplicity. It allows developers to think from directly within their data. "This product is ideal for the web designer and webmaster trying to stay ahead of the competition without the hassle of learning complex syntaxes. Static websites are now old fashioned. Web clients today demand dynamic content. When WebDNA was imagined in 1996, it was far ahead of its time; it is still cutting edge to this day, with no real competitor, and uses an extremely robust engine. Now, it is critically important for web designers to be able to move beyond static pages. With WebDNA, the webmaster can extend their html skills to provide dynamic websites" says company president Christophe Billiottet. WebDNA comes in 3 versions with pricing starting at $65, and is available immediately from WSC at www.webdna.us. Contact WebDNA Software Corporation at info@webdna.us.
