texte = Just be careful when using symbolic links with your databases. I did that for a set of sites, and ended up using the globals directory instead. I understand if that's impossible because of sandboxes, then you can't. But here's what to watch out for if you must use symlinks:Each site will access the same DB on disk, but as far as WebCat is concerned, it's two DBs with two different paths. This is fine if it's a non-changing database, like a zip code DB or something. But if either site is going to be making changes to it, they won't see each other. And further, you can lose changes on one if you [closedatabase] on the other and commit the current state to disk. My temporary workaround until I moved to globals was to close the db each time there was action on it, and again at the top of each page so it got a fresh read. Or something like that; it's been a while. Anyway, be very careful.Terry>I've been able to make symbolic links work...>>On Jun 2, 2004, at 5:27 PM, Stuart Tremain wrote:>>> There is NO access out of the root directory that you have set for >>the sandbox.>>>> I have done a few workarounds using TCPConnect to the same server.>>-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
