Granted you mentioned that the webcat config never changed, but did the webserver change or get updated? it just sounds like the pages aren't being served properly? CAn you isolate a particular issue? Maybe change the extension and serve the forms without webdna(if they are just forms, they should serve properly as HTML) I would see if you could exclude webcatalog as part of the problem, if you do, then the only things left would be a webserver issue or a coding issue? -dylan On Jun 18, 2004, at 5:46 PM, kalin mintchev wrote: > hi all.. > > new problem which i can not explain. > since yesterday a few forms on a certain website are not longer working > correctly for users on windows machines with IE6. by not working i mean > that when the forms are submitted they get the lovely windows page for > "the page can not be displayed". if reloaded (uuhh sorry - > "REFRESHED") > the page comes up ok but a lot of users are not doing that and they > shouldn't have to (use windows). > if it's a search form than when the page is reloaded pure garbage comes > up. one user sent me a 'sample' and in between other stuff there was > are > request mime header for a safari browser - on win 95 with IE6?! - so > it's > pure webCat problem. > > i tested those forms on about 6 - 7 different browsers on 4 different > desktops and only the IE6 on windows 0.whatever is doing that. > > i have not worked on those pages at least for 6 months and nothing has > changed on the webCatalog configuration. restarted everything that is > there to be restarted that is remotely related to the serving process > and > the server itself... > looked at the code too - line by line - and i can't see anything that > can > upset (god forbid) the IE browser. > > please help with ideas or suggestions.. > > thanks > > > > -- > Software is like sex: It's better when it's free.
