I call it a bandade because I'm still not sure what the problem was... maybe something to do with the style of URL's being used and mod-rewrite (caching), but I don't know. I suspect the URL method because those test templates I posted are on my server (using traditional style URLs) using a bare bones replica of the live code and they work fine without a redirect after the addlineitem... eh, It works now and thats all I care about...
