texte = Donovan, I carry the cart # in a cookie too. You don't need step 3. On the first add item, there's no cart cookie, so go ahead and set the cookie, create the cart and add the first item, all in one page. Since the cart is new, the fact that there's no cookie for it is not relevant because you're generating a new cart number anyway. The next time they add an item, the cookie check will find the cart value and you can go from there. Maybe killing the redirect will solve your problem.
