texte = Thanks for replying guys... In writing my long explanation to give you the info you asked for to help me I clarified my own thinking/code, and now it works. The short answer to my original Q is that [search] params on the fly work just fine (i.e. the [var] in the [search] param's name evaluates and then that [search] param fires as tho the [var]'s value were hard-coded in there in the first place - what I would have expected but did not see happening do to another (lame) bug in my code. Often, using this list just forces a good look in the mirror ;-) -John > >> this search: >> [Search >>db=some.db&eq[DesPopupType]datarq=[DesPopupType]] >> >> finds nothing even though it should. > >What value is in [DesPopupType] and what are you trying >to do? > >The search [Search >db=some.db&eqFieldNamedatarq=FieldName] seems odd. > > > >Rob Marquardt >Designer/Resident Wirehead >Toast Design > >800 Washington Avenue North >Minneapolis MN 55401 >612.330.9863 v >612.321.9424 f >www.toastdesign.com > > > >------------------------------------------------------------- >This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to > the mailing list . >To unsubscribe, E-mail to: > >To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > >Web Archive of this list is at: >http://webdna.smithmicro.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
