The problem seems limited to only SSL connections, and only through WebDNA. Using other plugins and cgi's does not result in the problem. In fact, as a temporary solution, my business partner wrote a "proxy" cgi, which takes the information originally submitted to WebDNA, and this proxy program then submits the form as a non-SSL post to WebDNA. It then receives the result back, and sends it via an SSL connection back to the browser. The main problem with this setup is speed. It can take 30 seconds or more to submit a simple form, but the browser always succeeds. > Why don't you ditch Webstar and just use Apache that comes with the > MacOS My business partner has been asking me this question for years. The problem is, I have no experience using a server which has to be maintained through a command line interface, nor do I have a desire do so. I prefer the GUI that WebStar provides - this is despite the numerous issues I have had with WebStar 5. My partner wants to go to Apache, but then I would have to rely on him for all issues, and I would rather not. He also wants to get rid of WebDNA, and MacOSX. If I let that happen, I might as well go with them. Dennis ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
