I'm not trying to be a know-it-all flaming forum poster ;-).. but rather, I am interested in this issue and would ilke to reiterate the importance of posting details! * Database size (MB) * Load ("heavy" being transactions per seconds or something) * Is safe-write on or not? * Are you finding mal-formed record sets when looking at the .db? * Does this database interrelate with other .db's? * Do you find any difference of using [exclusivelock..] as apposed to not using it? * [version] and [platform] * Are you sure that the /etc/init.d/WebCatalogCtl is started? (seeing two WebCatalog proccesses when doing "top -u apache" * Are you doing any encrypting values to the database!? * what date did the problem start? *All* these are important to finding the answers me thinks!
