BUT I want to save rewriting loads of WebDNA code that is quick, easy, functioning. For example I need to write to a WebDNA db (*with WebDNA*) every time someone hits that PHP page. I can put a tiny 1px x 1px image (HTML tag) which references my .tmpl WebDNA template (instead of a real .gif/jpg) to do this writing to the db, but I would prefer not, so that, for example, this cannot be seen in the source HTML. As a total PHP and *nix newbie, I scan their talklist and docs and I see that there is a function called "shell_exec()" that can call things as if from the command line, and I think, "probably many people who actually know what they are doing know all about this and have done it, or if I ask the question right, they will show me a much better way to approach this." You didn't mean you wanted to see what search params I put in my webDNA [search] did you? I mean, did I leave out any important details? You said, "What you can do is have PHP call a WebDNA template and return the response". That is exactly what I want to see an example of! -G On Oct 21, 2008, at 2:15 PM, Charles Kline wrote: > You won't really call an include.
